The role will collaborate with other departments in a fast-paced entrepreneurial scientific organization to improve the overall operational health and safety in support of the organization's goals. Pay Rate:The pay rate for this job is $24 / hourWhat you'll be doing as a Maintenance Technician I:

Assist in handling operational emergencies or urgent issues as they arise

Maintaining alarms systems and gas detectors including preventive maintenance tasks basic troubleshooting of HMI

Maintaining safety equipment and facilities including but not limited to fire extinguishers, and first aid kits

Responsible for daily waste handling

Review manuals, extract information, and write instructions to provide training to peers and end-users on the proper and safe operation in areas of responsibility

Responsible for documenting equipment maintenance and work that was undertaken to ensure accuracy of records in the maintenance record system (i.e. NetSuite)

Work with Supply Chain to ensure parts are adequately stocked for maintenance activities

Maintaining awareness of Health & Safety issues and reporting as appropriate

Be an active member of the alarm responder team for afterhours duties

Willing to work late hours as the job requires

Assist with all areas of work and act as backup for Technician II and Technician III responsibilities

Excellent communication skills

Problem solving / Decision making skills

Results / Detail oriented, able to work with a sense of urgency.

The employee must understand and comply with LanzaTech Safety guidelines and housekeeping practices, trainings and wear appropriate PPE when necessary

Preferred/Valued Qualifications

Associate degree

Experience with hazardous materials (chemicals)

Prior experience with forklift operations

Physical Requirements

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Climb stairs.

Work from elevated platforms and or ladder

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

Prolonged periods of standing in the lab

Work Environment

Physical area they work in (cubical, office, home, lab, etc.)

Follow COVID protocols
