Job Summary:

The Sr. Project Manager will work closely with the PMO and is responsible for planning, executing, monitoring and controlling, and completing projects of mid to large size and complexity. The incumbent will manage project teams, provide communications to the Project Sponsor and stakeholders, and ensure quality control throughout the project life cycle by following the methodology that has been established by the IT PMO.

Job Description:

Job Responsibilities: 1. Manages project development from initiation to closure and will be accountable for project results.2. Works with the project sponsor and stakeholders to complete the project charter and the statement of work, outlining the scope, goals, deliverables, required resources, budget and timing.3. Ensures that complete requirements have been gathered and documented.4. Completes the work breakdown structure to estimate effort required for each task.5. Provides a project schedule to identify when each task will be performed and by which team member.6. Provides appropriate communications to the project sponsor and stakeholders and manage clear expectations.7. Resolves issues and problems as they arise throughout the project's life cycle.8. Identifies risks and risk mitigation plans.9. Manages project scope by ensuring that any changes to the scope are documented and approved by the project sponsor using project change request forms.10. Identifies and track project milestones and the critical path, while providing status reports to the project sponsor and the PMO.11. Leads and motivates project team members on a proactive basis, and keeps projects on time and within budget.12. Determines how project success will be measured and conducts a post-project evaluation to determine how well results were achieved.13. Ensures that all project documents have been safely stored and are accessible to the project team

Internal Controls: Establishes and implements processes and procedures to meet departmental internal controls requirements. Ensures that established processes/procedures are followed as designed. Works with Internal Controls Department to identify deficiencies in existing processes/procedures, the need for new ones, and the extent to which such processes/procedures are being followed. Develops and implements corrective actions with regard to department internal controls as necessary.

Successful incumbents will have:

1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or other related fields

2. 7 or more years of project management experience; PMP certification

3. Strong working knowledge of MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint

4. Demonstrated leadership ability managing teams in a matrix environment

5. Excellent oral and written skills

6. Proven upper management presentation skills, impeccable time management skills, and ability to work with all levels of management

7. Ability to function independently and in team environments, where multiple projects may run concurrently.
