Job Description

Report directly to Sr Manager - Speech and Occupational Therapy and report noteworthy updates on a timely basis. Enforce quality standards for Speech and Occupational therapists in order to maintain BYS’s high quality of care for our families. Work in conjunction with Behavior Technicians, Speech, Occupational Therapists, and BCBA’s to ensure collaboration within and between disciplines. Monitor Speech and Occupational Therapy team within therapy center to ensure compliance with BYS policies, procedures and HIPAA compliance. Take part in intakes when needed and assist with onboarding new clients. Provide weekly updates regarding caseloads and discuss the progress of therapy before individual weekly department meetings. Provide therapy, including program planning, consultation, and education to the patients and families in collaboration with other team members. Assist with planning and implementing professional development sessions for team members. Assist with the hiring, interviewing, and training of new staff. Responsible for identifying appropriate team members to shadow and for creating training schedules. When applicable, provide feedback and disciplinary action on a timely basis. Assist in monitoring and reporting inventory of needed items for the respective center to Sr Manager - Speech and Occupational Therapy. Review, approve, schedule, and coordinate any requests for student observation hours. Other duties and special projects as assigned.

Direct Therapy Responsibilities: Provide the baseline caseload target for direct therapy assigned by BY YOUR SIDE. Maintain timely professional documentation of clinical notes for direct patient care provided. Completion of documentation for

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy or Speech Therapy. Licensed Occupational or Speech Therapist with a minimum of 2 years’ experience working with children on the autism spectrum. Must complete and maintain certification in CPI Training. CPR/First Aid Certified or will train on site. Previous supervisory experience with the ability to lead a team and supervise therapists. Knowledge of discipline specific assessment tools and procedures.
