Manual Machinist Looking to Start ASAPJob DescriptionAs a Manual Machinist, you will be responsible for reviewing work orders, gathering raw materials, and ensuring the correct materials are ready for production. You will use tools such as micrometers, calipers, blueprints, and manual machining equipment.Responsibilities
Review work orders and layout materials.
Gather and prepare raw materials for production.
Confirm correct materials are ready for use.
Utilize micrometers and calipers for measurements.
Read and interpret blueprints.
Operate manual machining equipment, including Bridgeport and manual machines.
Run 3-axis CNC machines.
Inspect parts and prepare the next order.
Perform 2-3 setups per shift with typical production runs of 2-5 hours.
Operate CNC machines 80% of the time and handle aluminum with low tolerances (+/- .01).
Cross-train on Panel Router.
Essential Skills
Minimum of 2 years of manual machining experience (CNC experience is also considered).
Effective communication skills to coordinate with the first shift supervisor.
Ability to hold oneself accountable and take ownership of work.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with 3-axis CNC machines.
Familiarity with Tekna horizontal CNC profile mills.

You will work in a very clean and well-organized facility with 3 Tekna horizontal CNC profile mills. The role involves operating CNC machines 80% of the time, with the remaining time spent inspecting parts and preparing for the next order. Typical production runs range from 5 minutes to several hours, with 2-3 setups per shift.
