Overview This client manufactures consumer products and due to growth, they are adding 2 manufacturing engineers to their team. They offer a collaborative culture, opportunities for growth and a full benefits package that includes medical, dental, insurance package, 2 weeks’ vacation, 5 personal days, bonus eligible, 401k with 50% match up to 6%.In this role, you will support main processes such as metal fabrication, painting, electro-mechanical assembly, and packaging.Responsibilities:
Ensure that manufacturing processes represent the most competitive cost alternative while maintaining acceptable quality levels.
Develop assembly line processes, labor standards, headcount analyses, work instructions, line fixturing and tooling requirements
Implement Lean Manufacturing continuous improvement strategies within Manufacturing Operations to improve efficiencies and reduce cost.
Develop, justify, and support strategic capital projects.
Drive outside organizations and cross-functional teams to meet project goals and objectives.
Ensures effective development of product cost structures and standards.
Provides oversight for the successful introduction of new products into Operations through concurrent engineering of new manufacturing technologies and methods.
Maintains Engineering performance metrics to identify opportunities for measurable improvements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
3+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience with strong competencies in welding, stamping, painting/finishing, and assembly operations
Working Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and Six Sigma principles
Experience with New Product Processes
Experience with facility layout, process design, FMEA, DFA, SPC, and DOE.
Experience with Time Study techniques
Experience leading cross functional teams on plant projects
Experience with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and any MRP system (SAP a plus)
General knowledge of PLC’s controls, sensors, and fixtures
Proven competencies in communicating with all levels of staff & leadership, problem solving, and time management.
