Create and maintain master schedule so you can plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay.

Collaborate with other departments by serving as a primary point of contact for and liaison with sales, logistics, and manufacturing departments.

Collaborates with these departments to establish schedules and plans that allocate available resources to best serve client or customer needs.

Monitor projects to ensure they will finish on time.

Coordinate production workflow for multiple projects, while periodically comparing current and anticipated orders with available inventory of raw materials; uses judgment to anticipate demand for and to acquire additional supplies as needed.

Integrates sales orders with master schedule; coordinates availability of raw materials, supplies, equipment, and staff as needed to meet delivery dates.

Maintains master distribution schedule for the assigned facility; revises as needed and alerts appropriate staff of schedule changes or delays.

Participates in periodic forecasting meetings with sales, marketing, and other related departments; leads additional planning meetings with sales, production, shipping, purchasing, and customer service staff.

Help identify problems and work towards improving processes

Process engineering change notices, this includes updating planning bills, forecast and existing builds to reflect the changes indicated

Performs any other associated job-related duties as assigned by management.

Required Skills/Education:

Extremely proficient with production planning systems

Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

Effective organizational skills and attention to detail

Excellent time management skills with the proven ability to meet deadlines managing multiple priorities

Proficient with Microsoft Office

Mechanical aptitude

Must work well in a TEAM environment

Ability to work in a fast-paced changing environment

Thoroughly cross-train other team members as needed

Bachelor’s Degree in a related area and 3-5 years of Production Scheduling Experience

Professional certification by the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) preferred

ERP planning Preferred: Visual

LEAN manufacturing preferred

Demand forecasting experience preferred

Proficient Computer skills: ERP system, Microsoft Office (E-mail, Word, Excel)

Small to Mid-Sized Shop Experience a plus
