Our client is seeking for an MES Application Architect Full Time Direct Hire (Not A Contract) You Must Be In One Of These Locations: United States - Illinois - Lake County United States - Minnesota - Twin Cities United States - Texas - Dallas United States - Ohio - Columbus United States - California Temecula POSITION SUMMARY: As the MES APPLICATION ARCHITECT, you'll have the chance to drive full manufacturing site transformations through software and automation solutions in the IT/OT environment for global manufacturing facilities. This position requires a blend of manufacturing knowledge, technical consulting expertise, and "hands on" builder/implementation skills. The Application Architect is responsible to design and develop manufacturing recipes through POMS software in the IT/OT environment for facilities across the organization. The MES Application Architect will collaboratively develop, troubleshoot, and maintain a standard MES and automation architecture utilizing a strategic approach of industry standards with a focus on building re-useable, scalable solutions. WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON
- Works with business units, engineering, and infrastructure teams to design and build recipes and application integrations to align with business objectives.
- Act as subject matter experience with MES and industrial automation.
- Experience implementing robust manufacturing systems and processes.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management or manufacturing processes, having the ability to implement strategies to improve the efficiency of the process.
- Understanding of integration between MES, PLM, ERP.
- Experience with equipment integration and shop floor systems.
- Experience with POMSnet recipe and base data update/creation.
- Demonstrate end to end understanding of process flow, able to gather requirements, design, develop and build recipes.
- Support site critical MES enhancement projects, including hardware upgrade, process streamline, architecture upgrade, recipe delivery, and testing coordination.
- Follow the Computerized Systems Validation process and Software Lifecycle (SLC) methodology to build and qualify/validate systems.
- Assess near-term needs and develop technical solutions; advise on options, risks, costs versus benefits, and impact on other business processes and system priorities.
- Partner with the functional groups within the IT organization to communicate and clarify business needs, contribute to development of long-range system plans, and ensure products and services are aligned with business needs.
- Serve as technical expert and leads technical staff to develop, test and implement significant new products, or operational improvements or devise new approaches to problems at the division/business unit.
- Review, validate & enhance design, conduct performance monitoring and capacity planning; install, test and upgrade releases and associated products.
- Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.
- Bachelors Degree Preferred / 9+ years experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- At least 7 year's experience with C# or Java software development
- Experience with global scale manufacturing systems (POMSNet) development, integration, and support
- Strong skills in methods and technologies to support manufacturing data integrations (SQL, Web Services, data mapping, etc.)
- Experience with Oracle Pl/SQL, Label printers, Scanners Configuration and support
- Ability to apply knowledge and expertise to solve complex technical problems
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Knowledge and experience with all phases of Software Lifecycle (SLC) in a GXP environment
- Experience with IQ/OQ/PQ, authoring validation documents and execution
- 20% Travel Required
