Job Description

Mobile Applications Developer Location: Chicago downtown Salary: $60-70K

Purpose Overview: Contributes to the design/development of the organizations' mobile applications. Works closely with Web & Mobile team, product owners, and vendor partners. Documents processes, participates in user acceptance testing, and app builds/submission. Creates technical documentation and user training materials as needed.

Required Skills/Experience:
  • Proficient mobile development skills and solid understanding of full development lifecycle
  • iOS (iOS sdk); Android (Android Framework, Java); Hybrid Mobile Apps (HTML5, JavaScript, responsive design)
  • Java/Java EE, REST APIs, SOA, ESB, JavaScript frameworks/libraries (e.g., jQuery Mobile, React, etc.)
  • Experience leveraging tools such as: Bitbucket, Bitrise, and OneSignal
  • 1+ year of experience analyzing business requirements and translating business objectives into proper technical specifications
  • 1+ year of experience in designing and developing mobile SDK and integrating mobile apps with web-services and external APIs

Additional Skills Desired:
  • Key participant in requirements gathering sessions, performs analysis of business practices, anticipates functional/technical requirements, researches industry trends, and generates technical specifications based on business requirements
  • Develops techniques, tools, standards and training materials to support projects
  • Contributes toward comprehensive quality assurance test plans to effectively test and verify systems/applications and ensure their quality
  • Attentive to detail with excellent communication skills
