Network Security Administrator

Description As a Network Security Engineer, you will play a critical role in safeguarding our network infrastructure, data, and communication systems. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining network security measures within a Cisco environment. Your expertise will be essential in proactively identifying and mitigating security risks, responding to security incidents, and ensuring compliance with industry best practices and regulations.Key Responsibilities:

Network Security Design and Implementation:

Plan, design, and implement security measures within the Cisco network infrastructure.

Configure and manage Cisco security appliances, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and VPN solutions.

Security Policy Development:

Develop and enforce network security policies and procedures to protect against unauthorized access, data breaches, and other security threats.

Monitoring and Incident Response:

Continuously monitor network traffic for anomalies and potential security threats.

Respond to security incidents promptly, investigate root causes, and implement corrective actions.

Vulnerability Assessment and Patch Management:

Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and address security weaknesses.

Manage the timely deployment of security patches and updates.

Network Access Control:

Implement access control policies and technologies to restrict unauthorized access to network resources.

Manage identity and access management solutions.

Security Awareness and Training:

Promote security awareness and best practices among employees and team members.

Provide training and guidance on security-related topics.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain comprehensive documentation of network security configurations, policies, and procedures.

Generate regular reports on security metrics and incidents for management review.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification preferred.

Proven experience in network security engineering within a Cisco environment.

Strong knowledge of Cisco security products and technologies.

Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in network security.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Ability to work independently and adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
