This safety-critical portfolio forms part of our connected industrial safety offering, protecting workers in industrial spaces from the multiple hazards posed by a of toxic and flammable gases that are found in a wide range of industrial applications.Position Overview:As the Product Manager, you will be working within the newly introduced Offering Management framework and will be responsible for driving the strategy, development, and portfolio road map as set by the line of business Portfolio Manager. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong market analysis skills, a solid knowledge of gas detection and wireless connectivity, product management experience, and the ability to collaborate across functions to achieve business objectives.Location: Lincolnshire, ILTravel: 30%Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or have asylum or refugee status in the U.SIdeal Candidate:

3+ years in a gas detection environment, with an extensive know how of the use of portable gas detection products in the field.

An appreciation of the requirements of hazardous area approvals, understanding the concepts of area classification, performance approvals

A foundational knowledge of wireless technology and how wireless solutions can be used to increase safety and deliver customer value.

3+ years in product management, offering management, or related roles, with a focus on portfolio management.

Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across global teams.

An ability to articulate the value in solutions and provide the tools to sales and channel partners to grow the business.

Knowledge of product lifecycle management (PLM) processes, tools, and methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:Customer Insights and Analysis:

Organizing and conducting voice of customer (VoC) with both end users and channel partners.

Providing insights into customers stated and unstated needs to ultimately identify sources of value

Develop further these insights into tangible needs and to translate these into Functional Requirements which will form the basis of engineering specifications.

Value Drivers and Pricing:

Creation of Commercial Plans that will aid in the effective communication and articulating value sourced in a particular offing.

Understanding market price and how it compares to competitive offerings and communicating these regularly to the Portfolio Manager.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, engineering, marketing, sales, operations) to develop offerings that provide true differentiation and create value for our customers.

Business Model and Value Capture:

Development of Business Models, to clearly define the flow of business, from order to cash.

Monitor product performance, analyze metrics, and work with the Portfolio Manager to define and implement strategies to optimize product profitability and market competitiveness.

Build strong relationships with external partners, vendors, and customers to gather insights, drive co-development opportunities, and enhance product offerings.

NPI Commercialization:

Develop commercialization plans in conjunction with Product Operations to clearly define the strategy and route to market for a new product development

Direct product teardowns and provide information and insights to the competitive landscape

General Product Management

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align on priorities, resolve issues, and drive consensus on strategic decisions.

Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions and to recommend adjustments to the portfolio strategy as needed.

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a gas detection environment

Minimum of 3 years of expertise in product management, offering management, or related roles, with a focus on portfolio management

Experience and knowledge using of wireless connected devices in an industrial environment, linking to software platforms

Proven track record in portfolio performance management and lifecycle management

Strong understanding of Master Data Management and Configuration Management
