This position will serve as a member of the EHS2 team and will assume cross-functional responsibilities in Occupational Health, Safety and Contractor on-boarding. Responsibilities will include: Administration of the Company Sick Leave Program for Bargaining Unit employees, managing the Health Surveillance screenings for vision and Powered Industrial Truck operation, handling the EHS onboarding process for new employees/contractors/contingent workers, developing and maintaining the contractor Review/Approval program; and supporting Security activities.

Main Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • Manages the sick leave program for all bargaining unit employees. This includes reviewing/processing all sick leave applications in accordance with company policies and state/federal regulations, ensuring correct data entry into the payroll/attendance system, maintains monthly absentee reports, tracks/trends absences and identifies patterns or excessive absences.
  • Cross-trained in Family and Medical Leave Administration.
  • Manage Health Surveillance Program for vision screenings and Powered Industrial Truck Medical Evaluations. Includes conducting vision screenings, audiograms and medical evaluations. Identifies potential nonconformity and escalates to nursing staff. Ensures compliance with cGMP’s, safety regulations and company goals.
  • Manages the Pre-Placement Screening process for local and remote candidates. Collaborates with Human Resources and Talent Acquisition to ensure the appropriate screenings are completed and results are received in accordance with Company Policy and state/federal regulations.
  • Manages EHS on-boarding process for new employees, contractors and contingent workers. Prepares Workday reports to ensure appropriate badge access for new hires, transfers and terminations. Completes appropriate documentation and distributes badges.
  • Develop and maintain contractor Review/Approval Program.
  • Review and upgrade EHS Training Presentations/Materials in Plateau.
  • Partners with other EHS and Occupational Health colleagues to support the site’s pandemic response activities
  • Completes any other duties/responsibilities assigned by senior management.

Position Qualification and Experience Requirements:

Education:

  • Degree (associates/Bachelors) preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training and relevant work experience.
  • CAOHC Certification preferred (Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation)

Experience:

  • At least 3 years’ experience in leave administration
  • Knowledge of FMLA and other relevant state/federal Sick leave laws
  • Knowledge of pre-employment on-boarding process for new employees
  • Experience in performing audiograms and vision screenings
  • CPR/AED/First Aid certification
