Operations Manager, Car Hauling

New England Express is a rapidly growing transportation company with a head office in Chicago, IL. Due to company's Car Hauling Fleet growth, we are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Operations Manager to lead our team and optimize our logistics.

As an Operations Manager, you will be crucial to ensuring the smooth and efficient daily operations of our car hauling fleet. This role requires a strong leader with a proven track record in the transportation industry, specifically within car hauling, and significant experience in dispatching.

Responsibilities:

- oversee all aspects of daily car hauling operations, from dispatch and route planning to driver management and customer service;

- manage and optimize the dispatching team and processes to ensure efficient scheduling, load assignments, and on-time deliveries;

- develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service quality;

- recruit, train, and mentor a team of drivers and dispatchers, fostering a positive and productive work environment;

- manage driver performance, including monitoring hours of service and addressing issues.

- collaborate with maintenance to ensure the fleet is well-maintained and minimize downtime;

Qualifications:

- minimum of 3 years of experience in operations management within the car hauling logistics industry;

- proven experience working as a dispatcher in a transportation setting, ideally within car hauling;

- strong understanding of DOT regulations, safety protocols, and industry best practices;

- excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills;

- proficiency in transportation management software (TMS) and other relevant computer applications;

- strong organizational, problem solving skills and attention to detail;

- fluent English/ Ukrainian.
