We have a client looking for a solid Oracle DBA for their growing team.
POSITION SUMMARYThe Oracle DBA will be a part of both database administration and data migrations. The primary responsibility of this role will be managing, maintaining, and providing ongoing production support of existing databases.ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- 4+ years of proven experience in database administration of Oracle databases with proactive approaches.
- Install, maintain, develop optimized databases.
- Strong Command of SQL, PL/SQL, stored procedures, and triggers
- Shell scripting (working experience)
- SQL performance tuning and interpreting traces (proficient)
- Ability to monitor alerts and job failures; efficiently and accurately remediate or escalate such failures as required
- Ability to interpret data traffic from applications
- Proficiency in strong design theories, database architecture, database management & security best practices knowledge.
- Knowledge of data warehousing (Dimensional Modeling, ETL etc.) and RDBMS concepts
- Determine, enforce and document database policies, procedures and standards
- Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy and integrity
- Monitor database performance, implement changes and apply new patches and versions when required
- BS degree in a computer discipline or relevant certification
- PL/SQL programming experience
- Familiar with SQL server database administration concepts
