INSPYR is hiring a OT/IT Technical Engineer (REMOTE) for our direct client in Illinois. This is a fulltime/direct-hire opportunity with a tentative start date of August 8, 2022. The position will help ensure availability and functionality of operation applications, both in-house and third-party software. This position will routinely engage with the various departments at the site and outside suppliers of systems to troubleshoot, monitor, maintain, and address day-to-day application usage and network reliability. This position will maintain inventory levels of OT software licensing. This position will manage and coordinate project resource for local, multi-site, and global OT projects or project scopes. Develop and maintain reporting as needed. Keep metrics: uptime tracking, backups, projects, etc. Architect of OT hardware infrastructure design and OT systems. Knowledgeable on OT security and access control to OT systems. Understands Industry 4.0 concepts. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Manage local day to day OT needs such as backups, troubleshooting, compliance, security and change management.
  • Develop reports as needed by the business.
  • Manage 3rd party vendors and OT licenses.
  • Be a resource for manufacturing software and hardware.
  • Point of Contact for OT projects and initiatives.
  • Safety-follow all safety policies/procedures and keep safety mindset.
  • Maintain OT environments; keep OT/IT/Controls area neat and orderly
  • Help with testing and start-up of new system/processes
  • Keep up to date with OT trends and industry standards
  • Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology or in a technical discipline with emphasis in computers, networks, software systems preferred, and industrial controls.
  • 5 plus years of relevant work experience in industrial manufacturing environments with 2 plus years IT/OT experience with network, servers, PCs, backups, manufacturing applications and business continuity/disaster recovery.
  • Experience working with 3rd party project and support vendors
  • Strong report writing and management skillset
  • Experience working with internal customers to provide applications solutions and project support.
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office; advanced level knowledge of Excel
  • Knowledge of Process control systems, database and historian systems and strong knowledge of network and Server Architecture.
  • Good communicator with strong interpersonal skills who can appropriately convey and process complex information. Must be able to communicate effectively across all levels of factory operations.
  • Ability to collaborate with IT, production and other operations professionals to develop and effect strategies for effective operations.
  • Strong Project Management skillset. Ability to lead small local projects and work with a team on medium and large projects.
  • Skilling in planning with the ability to develop strategies necessary for efficient work operations in an industrial facility.
  • Strong analytical skillset, IT applications knowledge and good technical understanding and working knowledge of client-server and database applications
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory, PLCs, IoT, I/O, SCADA, and MES
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Travel requirement between 15-30% - ability the position to be remote other than project travel.
