Part-Time On-Call Maintenance Position - Self Storage Property

Pay Rate: $15-$20/hour. Hours: 5-10 hours per week

We are currently seeking a dedicated part-time, on-call maintenance person to join our team at our self-storage facility. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, enjoys working independently, and possesses a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

Unit Maintenance: Inspect units once they are vacated to ensure they are empty. Clean and sweep units thoroughly and secure them with a lock and zip tie on the exterior door.

Facility Upkeep: Regularly check the facility to ensure it is clean and free of trash. Attention to detail is crucial for maintaining the high standards of our property.

Overlocking: Apply overlocks to units when customers are delinquent, ensuring adherence to our property's policies.

Repairs and Maintenance: Perform various maintenance tasks as needed, including removing dents from buildings, repairing or replacing springs, replacing metal siding, and fixing leaking roofs. The ability to tackle a wide range of repair tasks is essential.

Requirements:

Tools: Must own a set of tools necessary for performing maintenance and repair tasks.

Transportation: Having your own trailer is ideal for transporting tools and materials around the facility.

Skills: Experience in maintenance, particularly in self-storage or similar properties, is preferred. Must be capable of performing physical tasks and repairs.

This position offers the flexibility of part-time, on-call work with hours ranging from 5 to 10 per week, depending on the needs of the facility. It's a great opportunity for someone looking for supplemental income with the skills to perform maintenance and repair tasks efficiently.
