Job Title: Payroll Analyst
Location: Chicago, IL 60601, by the Daley center
Pay Rate: $40.58 an hour
Job Type: Contract – 6 months +
Start: ASAP
Environment: Hybrid 3 days in office and 2 days working from home after training period of 2 months in office
Schedule: M-F 8:30-4:30 or 9a – 5p
Will report to Assistant Payroll Supervisor
Dress Code: Business professional
This role requires prior experience working with processing payroll disbursements, intermediate Excel skills for reporting and experience working with a payroll of a minimum of 1,000 employees
Job Description for the Payroll Analyst
This position will work with Payroll reports making adjustments, etc.
Generate and review payroll reports
Initiate payroll process
Run Payroll cycle
Payroll calculations
Including time cards, working with Oracle EBS system editing errors thru the payroll processes.
Working with banking and processing bi-weekly payroll interim payroll including time keeper for all hospital staff that will report hours into this department.
This person will work as a backup supporting manual adjustments , work with deduction and deferred compensation and supporting the overpayment collections area.
This office supports over 22,00 employees payroll. Team is Currently working to try to determine how much employees were over paid and adjust pay checks. Until correctly determine what is owed and calculate- figure out timeframe and an amount.
This employee will work with a lot of troubleshooting. Also be a back up to manage the system.
Will support EBS payroll system using Oracle payroll application. Working with CCT Workforce system.
Identify and explain timecard errors. Working with Web portal trouble shooting
Must have intermediate to advanced Excel skills working with formulas, V-look ups to complete direct deposit working with W-4 and handle payroll taxes as well.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree required
Prefer someone have familiarity in working with Oracle, but would also consider ADP or another large payroll software
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills working with formulas, V-look up, and pivot tables
3-5 years of Payroll analysis experience
Experience running reports
Must have experience with payroll disbursements
