Job Description: Junior Java Developers

Location: IL, SCHAUMBURG (Partially Remote)
  • All phases of software engineering including requirements analysis, application design, and code development and testing
  • Designing reusable Java components, frameworks and libraries
  • Working closely with architecture group and driving solutions
  • Troubleshooting production support issues post-deployment and drive solutions
  • Demonstrating substantial depth of knowledge and experience Java development, Java/J2EE, SQL

Description:
  • Looking for junior engineers (6 months to 2 years) who are eager to learn on the job
  • Tech stack - Java, Spring Boot, Unix, Shell Scripting, Oracle/Postgres backend, Public cloud platform (Azure), Jenkins CI/CD, Terraform and Ansible
  • Any experience on one or more technologies & an open attitude to learn will be a good fit on the team
  • We follow Agile Scrum, 2 week sprints, teams are co-located, junior engineers will be working on scrum teams alongside other senior dev and QA engineers
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical experience
  • 6 months to 2 years' experience of coding experience with JVM based languages (Java, Scala, Groovy, Kotlin)
  • 6 months to 2 years' experience with SQL and working on databases like Oracle, PostGres
  • 6 months to 2 years' experience creating and maintaining APIs using open source frameworks like Sprint Boot, Play
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience or willingness to work on public cloud services
  • Experience delivering software using an Agile/Scrum methodology
  • Experience in Healthcare
