THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE:

Ulta Beauty is looking for a passionate and creative Photographer to be able to mentor and collaborate with the Creative team and other Photographers.

CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Shoot product photography for Ulta Beauty's channels; Print, Digital (Email, Site, Mobile), Store, Ecommerce and Social (works collaboratively with the designers for each team).
  • Delivers a high volume of shots that are consistently high quality and competitive with the commercial photography market and has the ability to alternate between simpler quicker shots and more intricate high-level shots.
  • Collaborates with the Sr. Photographer, Sr. Stylist and Designers to complete shots through approval process.
  • Is often the stylist for their own set using the props, surfaces, and direction given to them.
  • Occasionally asked to shoot headshots, group shots, and other projects.
  • Asks questions, listens and relays information as work is getting briefed in, in order to deliver as expected.
  • Maintains awareness and interest in modern photography trends and opportunities for application to Ulta Beauty's photography.
  • Is organized and efficient with a good work ethic and enjoys creative challenges.
  • Anticipate challenges, communicate risks and is able to problem solve.
  • Creative and passionate about all aspects of the design and photography process -and participates in brainstorms with designers and stylists.
  • Aids in the studio organization, equipment upkeep, and workflow.

THE ESSENTIALS FOR SUCCESS:
  • Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in Photography, Graphic Arts or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial photography.
  • Experience in tethered photography and studio lighting.
  • Knowledge of print production process, editing, and archiving.
  • Knowledge of Photoshop, Capture One, Phase One, Canon and Profoto systems.
  • Knowledge of InDesign
  • Photo styling experience
  • Video and continuous lighting experience
  • Digital tech experience
  • Creativity and an understanding and enthusiasm for the Ulta Beauty brand.
  • Rotating weekends and holidays required
  • Some local travel may be required
  • Medium lifting
