Our client has an immediate need for a

Process Control Engineer, who will be responsible for developing and maintaining Software and Hardware of Process Control systems in all areas of the plant.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or 2 years equivalent experience in Computer, Physics, Electrical, or Data Science field.
  • Experience in the design, engineering, installation, and testing of hardware and software
  • Ability to troubleshoot system and/or process-related issues
  • Experience with various programming languages.
  • Experience with interfaces and operations of system communications
  • Experience with OpenVMS and Windows Operating Systems
  • Experience with Oracle, Oracle RDB, and Microsoft SQL Server databases
  • Experience with Wonderware, Citect, and FactoryTalk HMI/SCADA Software
  • Experience with OSISoft PI Historian
  • Experience with FORTRAN, C, and C# languages
  • Experience with PLC block and ladder logic
  • Experience with Allen-Bradley (PLC3, PLC5, ControlLogix, etc) is a plus
  • Experience with GE (90-30, 90-70, RX-3i, RX-7i, etc) is a plus

Responsibilities:
  • Working alongside the team to develop hardware and software solutions
  • Working in coding, testing, commissioning, tuning, and implementing applications
  • Seeing potential production system issues and proactively ensuring the highest level of system accessibility
  • Desire to attend operator and quality improvement meetings, as it relates to assigned area
  • Providing downturn and start-up support
  • Communicating with Operations, Vendors, and other department personnel to help manage requests and provide solutions
  • Communicating to real-time applications, models, and databases hosted on Open VMS and Windows Servers
