Role : Process Control Engineer

Location: Granite City, IL

Duration: 12 Months

MOI : Telephonic & Skype

Primary Skills: ORACLE, C, Oracle RDB and Microsoft SQL Server databases, Open VMS and Windows Operating Systems, FORTRAN and C# languages

Need Candidates with a minimum of 10 Years of experience. This is 100%Onsite role.

Job Description:This high-profile role combines the challenges of project management and information architecture working within a highly skilled team.The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining the Software and Hardware of Process Control systems in all areas of the plant.Plant Process Control systems routinely consist of Allen-Bradley Programmable Logic Controllers communicating to real-time applications, models, and databases hosted on Open VMS and Windows Servers.

Major Responsibilities include:
  • Ability to work alongside the team to develop hardware and software solutions.
  • Competency in coding, testing, commissioning, tuning, and implementing applications.
  • Ability to see potential production system issues and proactively ensure the highest level of system accessibility.
  • Desire to attend operator and quality improvement meetings, as it relates to assigned area.
  • Consistently provide downturn and start-up support
  • Excellence in communications with Operations, Vendors, and other department personnel to help manage requests and provide solutions.

Candidate Specification:

Minimum Requirements:

  • OVERALL EXPEREINCE OF 10+ YEARS
  • Working knowledge in the

    design, engineering, installation, and testing of hardware and software
  • Must have the ability to troubleshoot system and/or process-related issues.
  • Understanding of

    various programming languages.
  • Understanding the

    interfaces and operations of system communications
  • Understanding of

    SCADA and HMI’s

Qualifications:

  • OpenVMS and Windows Operating Systems

  • Oracle, Oracle RDB, and Microsoft SQL Server databases

  • Wonderware, Citect, and FactoryTalk HMI/SCADA Software

  • OSISoft PI Historian

  • FORTRAN, C, and C# languages

  • PLC block and ladder logic
  • Allen-Bradley (PLC3, PLC5, ControlLogix, etc) knowledge desired
  • GE (90-30, 90-70, RX-3i, RX-7i, etc) knowledge desired

Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree or 2 years equivalent experience in Computer, Physics, Electrical, or Data Science field.
