If you are looking for your next role to have a direct impact on the world, we have an excellent career opportunity for you to join the Global Construction & Infrastructure (GCI) team as a Product Application Specialist for Large Wheel Loaders in the Americas !In this role, you will provide technical and market support for Large Wheel Loaders throughout the Americas regions. Additionally, you will support application and job studies for Large Wheel Loaders, communicate product and market information to the Product Group, manage NPI process and participate on the market strategy team.Specifically, in this role, you can expect to:

Train the district and dealer Sales Representatives on product and application matters (product, services, application and relevant systems or software).

Professionally provide ongoing technical support to districts and dealers supporting the customers’ need for detailed technical/performance/application data give rise to dealer requests for assistance and with a “customer first” mentality.

Prepare introduction plans for new products (NPI). Monitor progress on all elements of NPI and initiate corrective action. Develop and maintain regional training activities in support of new product launches for your regions.

Build and maintain up to date knowledge about competitive systems and machines and be able to promote Caterpillar value advantage to aid selling activities vs. each competitor.

Act as a mentor for less experienced employees with respect to all facets of the role with particular emphasis on product service and application knowledge and Caterpillar systems knowledge.

Participate on a Standing Team for “market strategy development.” Provide input to Strategy development – and assist in deployment.

Be the primary conduit of technical information to and from the Product Groups, for Large Wheel Loaders in support of key regional inputs & in development of business cases for the Unmet Customer Needs process.

Support Customer and Dealer visits to Cat Facilities and other job-related project initiatives. Customer Plant tours and follow up on CSP input as requested.

To be successful in this role, you must bring (Basic Qualifications) :

Experience in technical, engineering or marketing roles

Experience with heavy equipment

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

High level of competence in preparation and presentation

Ability to travel 60%

Top candidates will also bring (desired qualifications) :

Knowledge of or experience working in the quarry industry

Experience in Cat sales or as a Technical Representative

Experience with Power BI

Additional Details:

This position requires up to 60% travel

Work locations: Aurora, Decatur or Peoria, IL. Work locations within commuting distance to an existing Caterpillar facility may be be considered on a case by case basis
