The Product Innovation Manager – CIJ position is responsible for crafting “vision of the future" for Videojet CIJ printers and integrating that vision into the overall Videojet corporate strategy. This role will define market segments, identify unmet market needs and resulting product opportunities. The Product Innovation Manager will work with regional partners and engineering teams to build a 5-year roadmap to achieve the company’s forecasted incremental revenue targets and aggressively win share in the marking and coding market.At Videojet we believe in designing a better, more sustainable workforce. Define Product Vision and Roadmap: Develop and communicate a clear and compelling product vision that aligns with the company’s overall mission and strategic objectives and results in well-defined product roadmaps for the CIJ portfolio aligned with market trends and customer needs. Success will be measured by achieving Incremental Pipeline Value targets.

Customer Insights: Utilize customer feedback, market research, and data analytics to inform product development and refine product offerings. Ensure that customer insights are integrated into the product strategy.

Competitive Analysis: Continuously monitor competitors and industry trends to identify opportunities and threats. Adjust product strategy accordingly to maintain competitive advantage.

Product Requirements: Define and prioritize product requirements, features, and specifications. Ensure that product development aligns with customer needs and market demands. Document market needs in a "Market Requirements Documents" (MRD), which reflect complete, accurate, and true understanding of the marking and coding market and its needs. Articulate why we will win using value maps, price/performance charts, and other models based on competitive product evaluations to be used to justify the product roadmaps.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work collaboratively with project core team members throughout the development as product requirements are refined to balance the customers’ needs against time to market

Get to Gemba (point of impact/field) to really understand customer, competitor and market dynamics.

Are you qualified?

Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, engineering, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a product management or product innovation role for technical products, including a track record of successfully delivering successful new products launchings

Strong analytical skills including experience qualitative and quantitative market research techniques to test and support (or refute) product and business strategies (For example: Conjoint, Max Diff).

Demonstrated experience telling customers’ stories, summarizing market research, and presenting strategic implications and product plans to Senior Leadership to drive product, corporate, and roadmap approvals.
