One of the biggest areas of technology innovation today is the creation of solutions that meet industry-specific requirements and help customers realize the power of the cloud. The Global Industry Marketing team is looking for an individual to drive industry product planning efforts for the Microsoft Cloud for Retail and the Microsoft Cloud for Manufacturing, leveraging business, technical, and marketing expertise to help align key stakeholders. This individual will lead key planning and strategy workstreams to bring new industry-specific solutions to market, with a goal of ensuring that our Industry product portfolio is positioned to meet the needs of customers on a path of digital transformation. The role requires strong cross-group collaboration skills as well a strong conceptual understanding of how the underlying technologies combine to enable customer success. Core industries will include retail, manufacturing, and consumer packaged goods.ResponsibilitiesWork cross-team to establish the features and release timelines for new industry-specific product offerings.

Build upon the knowledge of others (engineering, marketing business planning, finance) and drive cross-group alignment on Industry portfolio priorities, with clear definition of success.

Help shape portfolio packaging and pricing decisions alongside business planning, focusing on helping align industry product licensing models.

Consolidate timeline of portfolio delivery, incorporating both engineering up-stream dependencies and marketing down-stream dependencies.

Communicate status, risks, and blockers regularly with extended stakeholder group.

Deliver centralized view of competitive insights gathered across both Microsoft stakeholders and industry analysts.

Aggregate customer feedback from private preview and customers POCs; create actionable recommendations based on feedback.

Drive accountability cross-team to hit project milestones for release schedule.

Key requirements include:Demonstrated track record of success in product marketing and program and/or project management

Passionate, results-driven and organized approach, with an attention to detail. A self-starter who can create and deliver scalable plans from concept to delivery.

Demonstrated track record of success in product management, product marketing, and/or business planning

Understanding of Microsoft’s cloud computing technologies and business priorities

Strong cross-group collaboration and communication skills to bring together a virtual team across organizational boundaries.

Experience in Sales and Marketing strategy and Communications

BS/BA degree, MBA or equivalent strongly preferred

5+ years of professional experience
