Production Supervisor

Description:1st Shift Opening – 5am – 1:30pm – 2 openings3rd Shift Opening - 6pm – 2:30am 4 openings

Will be supervising 20-30 employees

Directs all functions, related to production in assigned department.

Promote Cross Training and implement within area of responsibility.

Ensure that all production paperwork is completed on a timely basis

Participate in reducing downtime using problem solving techniques including implementing solutions.

Manage resources including materials, equipment, and manpower to meet production targets and deadlines

Supervisors will typically work 50 hours a week. Will be an hourly position and time and a half for hours worked over 40 per week

Will need to work 4-5 hours on Saturday occasionally (They look for Volunteers first, then rotate supervisors.)

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

5+ years of supervision experience

Degree is a plus

Looking for someone coming from the steel, assembly or welding industry (no food industry or distribution)

Working knowledge of modern manufacturing techniques, such as Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement a plus

Need to be a hands-on manager, and well versed in escalation and working through stringent due dates

Should be a strong Type A personality and can not have a laid back type of approach
