Your role in helping us shape the future: As a Program Manager at Intelsat, you will be responsible for multiple technical projects from inception through rollout and launch. The Program Manager will not only manage the life cycle but also become a technical expert at the systems level within Intelsat; gain exposure to various levels of the company while partnering with internal organizations to bring Intelsat's technology roadmap to market.

Are you up to the challenge?
  • Lead teams in collaboration to deliver best-in-class inflight experiences born from partnerships across the telecommunications, entertainment and media, aviation, and other industries.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to design, develop and deploy inflight connectivity and entertainment products to Airline passengers.
  • Support Agile software development teams to deliver features to market.
  • Engage with multiple third party entities and Airline customers to plan and execute integration projects through to launch.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement using best in class lean thinking techniques.
  • Support the ability to deliver value at a highly predictable pace through effective management of scope and schedule.
  • Collaborate harmoniously with internal and external customers to align priorities, drive accountability, and resolve blockers.
  • Ensure all project plans are up-to-date and complete with respect to schedule, risks, issues, and status.
  • Frame issues, leverage strategic priorities and drive team towards the best path forward.
  • Ensure project compliance to regulatory bodies.
  • Hold regular cross-functional project review meetings to review and update projects logistics, schedule, and objectives.
  • Interpret, translate, and flow down project requirements into the project Plan.

You should definitely have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years' of professional work experience leading Agile development projects.
  • Strong technical skills and t he desire to learn new technology and industry segments
  • Highly adept at project management skills and techniques.
  • The ability to build relationships with customers and partners.
  • Ability to deliver in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated initiative with creative thinking and attention to detail
  • A willingness to take ownership of a situation and lead technical discussions with cross disciplinary teams with multiple priorities.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, quick tough data driven decision-making ability and exceptional creative thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Passion for learning and implementing state of the art technologies
  • Experience with project management and Agile tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Confluence, etc.)

It would be nice if you had:
  • Application Development experience.
  • PMP or Agile Certification
  • Telecommunications industry experience.
  • Satellite communications industry experience.
  • Experience with Scaled Agile Framework and Lean thinking.
