Our direct client is looking for a Program/Project Manager for a long term contract position in Chicago.
- Manage the execution of a highly visible 3rd party Professional Services engagement to delivery the contractual deliverables and adhere to planning milestones.
- Will be responsible for working directly with the Professional Service’s Service Delivery Manager on the planning, execution, change control, issue resolution, risk management, weekly status reporting and meetings, and monthly steer meetings.
- Will be responsible to conform to the Northern Trust program management methodology and ensuring 3rd Party Professional Services artifacts meet our needs.
- Due to visibility, a key role will be to manage the Business desires and the application needs while building out the core enablement solution.
- Six (6) years of professional experience working in program / project management
- Four (4) years of professional experience in technology or a related field
- Expert knowledge of project management methodologies
- Certification(s) in project management methodologies (CSM and/or PMP) preferred
- Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success as a team leader, including:
- Working independently to deliver results with little or no supervision
- Communicating effectively and clearly with stakeholders of all levels by tailoring the message to the audience
- Demonstrating the value of partner engagement by knowing when to engage, who to engage, and how to engage while keeping inclusion and collaboration at the forefront of your approach
- Modeling self-awareness in personal interactions and read both verbal and non-verbal signs to influence without direct authority
- Experience working with, and driving, technical teams ideally in the public cloud domain
- Experience with the Atlassian product suite, Microsoft SharePoint and Azure boards
- Identification of gaps in the cloud program against BU requirements; work across and within various departments to mediate the gaps
- Demonstrated experience in working cross-functionally with technical and business executive leaders
- Strong organizational and planning capabilities with excellent presentation and communication skills
- Ability to influence other leaders by succinctly communicating issues, presenting proposals and articulating next steps
