Essential Skills

  • 8+ years successfully delivering IT infrastructure projects
  • Strong IT infrastructure technical understanding.
  • Strong skills with MS Office, Project, Visio, SharePoint, JIRA, Remedy (or other service management systems)
  • Experience managing multiple projects
The key responsibilities of the Sr IT project managers will be as follows:
  • Project Management (PM) – Lead large, complex projects consisting of multiple teams and/or requiring integration with other activities outside the scope of the team. At a team level, act in a consultative role to help stand up the appropriate people, processes, and tools as well as coaching where needed to optimize the efficiency of the project team to deliver services on time and budget
  • Project Planning – Define project scope and schedule while focusing on timely delivery of value; organize and lead project statwork meetings; prepare and distribute progress reports; manage risks and issues; correct deviations from plans; and perform delivery planning
  • Team Management – Assist in team development while holding teams accountable for their commitments and removing roadblocks; leverage organization-wide resources to improve capacity for project work; and mentoring and developing team members
  • Product Stakeholder-Client Support – Support client in managing customer expectations or service delivery performance, managing stakeholder communications, and helping to implement an effective system of governance
  • Process Management/Improvement – Define and manage a well-suited project management process; act as champion for ongoing process improvement initiatives to implement best practices within project management
  • Team building – promote empowerment of the team, ensure that each team member is fully engaged in the project and making a meaningful contribution, and encourage a sustainable pace with high-levels of quality for the team
  • Review and Meetings - Provide high level plans for management review, Carry out regular meetings and updates with the local teams , Escalate any critical issues within the program team and Provide ongoing updates to management on status
