Senior Technical Project Manager - PMS HostingPay: $60-70/hour (W2) or $75-$85/hour (1099)Start Date: 5/9/2022Contract Length: 1 yearLocation: Chicago, IL preferred (Remote ok)Hospitality company is currently seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager to join its PMS Hosting Technical Team to help manage various projects. The Senior Technical Project Manager will be responsible for projects that involve Opera PMS Hosting or its related interfaces.Responsibilities of the Senior Technical Project Manager: - Plan, coordinate, supervise, and communicate activities related to the design, development, testing, and deployment of changes to the Opera system
- Ability to understand different classes of testing (unit, integration, functional, performance, smoke)
- Collaborate with various business partners and both technical and non-technical teams on various projects
- Review scope and other documents provided by business partners to develop missing pieces of a project and discuss requirements, issues, etc.
- Track detailed status, issues, deliverables and next steps of projects
- Create, manage, and execute project plans
- Estimate and manage project budgets
- Facilitate meetings with various project team members
Requirements for the Senior Technical Project Manager: - 10+ years' in tech project management
- Working knowledge of technical components in a datacenter
- Background in technology discipline strongly preferred (i.e. engineer, developer, etc.)
- Previous experience with any of the following software is a plus but not required: Oracle DB, Virtual machines, F5 network gear, Java & Oracle Forms client, PowerShell, Ansible, or Rundeck
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
- Hospitality industry experience is a plus!
