Experience
  • At least 2 years of demonstrated experience in managing projects
  • At least 2 years’ experience in project management, business systems analysis, software development or deployment.
  • Exemplary oral and written communication skills
  • Proven track record of effective project leadership and positive results
  • Proven Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Word and Excel skills are required
  • Individual must be able to work full time on-site (Mettawa - AbbVie ABV1 building)

Preferred
  • PgMP/PMP Certification

Description:
  • The BTS (IT) Project Manager will provide technical project management and business program management for key strategic initiatives supporting the brand team. This role will work closely with all internal groups and external third-party service providers to establish project plans which considers critical tasks, durations and dependencies. The Project Manager is expected to be autonomous in management of meetings, solicitation of agendas, distribution of meeting minutes, tracking completion of action items and regular updates on project status.

  • Assesses the degree to which changes to scope; issues and risks will affect projects working with department, management and sponsor to gain agreement for resolution
  • Troubleshoots issues with frequent follow ups with vendors until there is a firm and complete resolution
  • Prepares concise, informative, well-organized and impactful PowerPoint presentations summarizing results and insights
  • Gather lessons learned and obtain final project approval from sponsor and stakeholders.
  • Communicate project progress by producing project reports to provide timely and accurate project status and decision support information to Project Team, Department and Division management.
  • Seeks to leverage proven frameworks, methodologies, and best practices in projects and advocates for the implementation of those methods in a reusable fashion
  • Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures
  • Exhibits a culture of integrity, excellence, initiative and compliance.

Specifically, the Project Manager is expected to:
  • Develop, execute and manage the project within the defined scope.
  • Manage a multitude of interrelated projects within the constraints of human and financial resources and changing priorities to ensure the successful completion of the project.
  • Partner with business sponsors/key stakeholders to confirm project success criteria.
  • Responsible for the overall project delivery consisting of large concurrent projects which are managed by multiple project managers

  • Create and distribute Department Policy compliant Weekly Status report
  • Create and maintain Department Policy compliant Project/Program Dashboard
  • Help execute Department Policy compliant Hypercare and project closure activities
  • Conduct Department Policy compliant Lessons Learned session
