Job Description: Python Web Based Developer

Summary:

Python Integration Developers are part of an agile team delivering creative, sophisticated, and challenging Python based Web APIs using Heroku as middleware to interface with the Salesforce platform. The developer is expected to work at all levels and the full life cycle of the SDLC. They are critical members of the team and responsible for owning and executing delivery of custom solutions that are uniquely tailored to the prioritized business' needs. Developed Python based solutions will utilize technologies such as REST/SOAP, Postgres, Salesforce.com platform and require the highest quality implementation built for scale, efficiency, and a great customer experience. They work with Product Owners, Scrum Masters and Business Analysts to understand the business needs and detailed requirements. They continue their development work with Quality Assurance Testers and Release Managers to delivering robust solutions to meet those needs.

Typical Day:
  • Attending a 8AM CT daily standup meeting
  • Developing within an Agile methodology
  • Adhering to established practices and procedures
  • Participating in continued process improvement efforts, continually raising the execution bar on the team
  • Deliver high functioning Python Web based API solutions using Heroku, Postgres dbase
  • Work with a scrum team to develop technical solutions including design documents with process flow diagrams and use case definitions
  • Participate in business requirement and design review sessions, assisting with both the estimation of development tasks and the technical design
  • Provide strong testing and debugging at all levels, including Unit, System, Integration, and Performance testing
  • Creates all required artifact and participate in knowledge transfer/training of support staff
  • Provide technical mentorship to junior team members
  • Perform Code Reviews
  • 100% remote position working CT hours
Technical Skills:
  • Required Qualifications:
    • 5+ years hands-on experience with developing Python (Highly Skilled Coder) web-based integration solutions.
    • 3+ years Heroku integration with Salesforce development experience
    • 3+ years working with REST/SOAP/JSON/PostgreSQL technologies
    • 3+ years working in an Agile development setting
    • Exp performing Code reviews and mentoring junior team members
  • Desired:
    • Experience with Azure DevOps Pipelines and Git
    • Experience with web application design and analysis, design patterns and object orientated design
    • Experienced with Selenium Testing Frameworks
    • Salesforce Development experience (Apex, SOQL, SOSL, VisualForce)
Soft Skills:
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to present complex ideas in a clear and concise fashion to a technical audience
  • Mentorship/leadership skills
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required plus 10+ exp.
  • Masters with 8+ years exp. developing Python web-based integration solution
