Job Title: Quality Lab TechnicianJob DescriptionAs a Quality Lab Technician, you will ensure all prescribed testing of production batches is conducted according to established test methods. You will verify that all production batches are tested and meet established specifications, including ensuring batches meet required color limits and all products are up to spec prior to filling. Responsibilities include verifying product specifications at the time of filling, approving final fill check panels for production, performing various quality testing such as color, gloss, viscosity, and physical properties, determining necessary adjustments to meet quality specifications, maintaining records of batch adjustments and fill checks, preparing fill check panels, and giving approvals for filling. You will consult with the Quality Manager and work on short-term projects to enhance department efficiency. Occasionally, you will transfer hazardous wastes to the satellite hazardous waste area and must be knowledgeable about labeling requirements for hazardous waste containers as part of RCRA training requirements. Maintaining clean and organized work stations and the retain storage area is also a crucial part of this role. Skills

High school diploma or equivalent

Prior QC experience, preferably from a chemical industry

Previous quality testing experience is preferred (color, gloss, viscosity, physical properties)

Strong math skills (fractions, percentages, etc.) and ability to make batch adjustments as needed.

Must be able to see color

Work EnvironmentThe role requires working primarily in a lab setting (95%) and occasionally on the floor (5%), handling hazardous materials with appropriate safety gear.
