The Regional Manager to oversee all facets of construction projects and maintenance operations within a geographic region. The ideal candidate will exhibit expertise in project management, construction, engineering, and contract administration within the Telecom industry.RESPONSIBILITIES:
Financial oversight: Responsible for overall P&L, financial reporting, and construction and maintenance contract performance within the region. Directly reports to the Vice President of Operations
Team management: Lead a team of Program, Project, Engineering, Construction, and Maintenance Managers ensuring successful execution of all regional construction and maintenance contracts
Contract fulfillment: Ensure compliance with contract requirements and customer expectations, overseeing negotiation, management, and performance monitoring
Safety and compliance: Implement and enforce rigorous safety protocols, ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory standards.
Strategic planning: Develop strategic plans, budgets, and forecasts for the region, evaluating and managing staff performance and development needs
Business development: Collaborate with Business and Project Development teams to identify and pursue new opportunities, contributing to the preparation of cost estimates and proposals
Personnel management: Selection and placement of direct reporting personnel, design and implement career development and performance improvement measures
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must possess one or more of the following:
Bachelor’s degree in civil, mechanical, electrical or construction engineering
Associate’s degree in civil, mechanical, electrical or construction engineering with a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in civil, mechanical, electrical or construction engineering
High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of (12) twelve years of experience in civil, mechanical, electrical or construction engineering
Minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible field construction and project management experience, preferably in outside plant telecommunications, utility, or highway construction
Experience managing a multimillion-dollar P&L
Experience in project management, design, planning and scheduling, contract management, QA/QC surveillance and/or estimating
Strong leadership and management abilities and interpersonal skills
Excellent written communications skills
Proficiency in Microsoft® Excel, Microsoft® Word, Microsoft® Project
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience with SAP
