Equipment includes leads, buses, breakers, batteries, lighting, cranes, electrical switches, and includes electronic equipment such as recorders, communications systems, uninterruptable power supplies, battery chargers, and electronic logic controllers, both analog and digitalConducts low, medium and high voltage switching, and grounding activities for all plant auxiliary equipment.Locates, analyzes and corrects malfunctions of electrical and electronic equipmentUnderstands and able to ensure proper operation of the plant. Responsible for plant oversight in the absence of managementPerforms technical work or analysis of processes and actively trains others in area of expertiseGains knowledge of the entire plant cycle and how it functionsMaintain a good working relationship with Renewables Team, POC, Purchasing, Warehouse, OEMs, EPC, contractors, and other support groups and vendors.Keeps records on electrical and electronic equipment, including inspections and overhaul reports, updates maintenance management system (Maximo), and makes effective use of the maintenance planning tools.Perform routine and emergency maintenance and/or compliance activities on the plant electrical, instrumentation, HVAC, and control systems including weekends, holidays, and scheduled shift as assigned.Education, Experience, and Skill RequirementsHigh School education or GED equivalentMinimum of 3 years working as an Electrician or Technician in an Energy or OIL & Gas related industryDemonstrate effective oral and verbal communications skillsProvide the technical expertise and skills to effectively work on and troubleshoot various electrical circuits. This includes low voltage control and power circuits, up to high-voltage substation and switchyard equipment.Provide the technical expertise and skills to perform calibrations and maintenance of field instrumentation.Proficient computer skills.
