Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it. ​Description:Product Support & Logistics Division (PSLD) is seeking a Risk & Compliance Professional with an accounting background to provide support for the PSLD business partners.The compliance professional in this role will provide guidance related to a range of compliance risk areas between units and other teams. The ability to gather relevant information, compare data, identify relationships, and predict and manage failures is essential. The incumbent will serve as a trusted advisor for financial and operational control process owners.The Risk & Compliance Professional (Senior Staff Accountant) will have a comprehensive understanding of Caterpillar’s business and accounting practices, systems and procedures. They will demonstrate knowledge and ability to handle accounting issues independently. This role will be exposed to a variety of accounting and operational functions and will accomplish a high level of complex and/or technical analysis, analyze various outputs, advise others (both accountants and non-accountants), resolve issues and communicate these outcomes. Works on challenging, medium to high-risk issues and makes decisions and recommendations as appropriate.This position will develop key skills in problem solving, data analysis, practical application of new technological tools such as PowerBI, and communication.Representative Activities:

Performs internal assessments and supports Internal Auditing & Advisory Services (IAAS) audits.

Support development and maintenance of internal controls, including Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) control documentation.

Collaborates with employees and supervisors to identify and mitigate compliance risks.

Provide strong leadership and independence in reviewing findings, monitors and validates action plans, and ensures sustainable solutions are implemented.

Monitors compliance performance and recommends priorities and actions for improvement.

Identify and execute process enhancements to simply and standardize current compliance processes.

Basic Requirements:

4-year degree, preferably in accounting, finance or business-related degree

4+ years of job related experience

Have a comprehensive knowledge of Caterpillar businesses, products, suppliers and customers

Initiative, leadership, good judgment and accountability

Good communication skills

Additional Details:

Domestic relocation is available for those who qualify

This position would ideally be located in Peoria, IL; however open to considering other Caterpillar facilities within the U.S. (candidates permanent address must be within 50-mile driving distance to a Caterpillar facility)
