Position Overview:
  • We are currently seeking a

    Supply Chain Risk Manager to join our Procurement group.
  • The

    Supply Chain Risk Manager position will work to identify and mitigate supplier risk, thereby avoiding potentially significant financial impacts associated with distressed supplier situations, including revenue loss, expediting and other crises related expenses (legal and specialized onsite supplier services) and providing a competitive advantage by being 'first in line' in distressed supplier situations.
  • Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Drive automation and assess industry tools to reduce manual risk management efforts
  • Ensure processes and tools are in place to manage crisis situations and assess overall supplier risk
  • Supplier risk assessment and identification of actions and resources to address
  • Drive contingency plan development and execution for high-risk suppliers
  • Ensure cross functional Resource engagement, in particular Supply Managers
  • Challenge plans to ensure sufficient and happening expeditiously as necessary
  • Document progress/ generate reports to be used in executive dashboard report outs
  • Interactions with Supplier executives where appropriate to ensure action plan completion, including
  • Assign and facilitate Project implementation for items on risk register
  • Get buy in from appropriate stakeholders
  • Seek opportunities to access critical information on suppliers by linkage to other systems (Salesforce, other portals, Prism, Peoplesoft, etc.)
  • Develop and improve templates and processes for managing supplier risk
  • Understand Navistar’s current systems and utilization of lean thought process on how we can eliminate risk
  • Lead in Risk Assessments of sourcing recommendations of Service Providers
  • Assess supplier capacity and take lead in determining actions to address capacity risk
