Job Title: Roofing Technician (Repair and Inspection)

Job Overview: As a Roofing Technician specializing in repairs and inspections, you will play a

crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the integrity of roofs. This position involves identifying,

diagnosing, and repairing various roofing issues, as well as conducting thorough inspections to

assess the condition of roofs. The goal is to ensure the longevity, safety, and efficiency of

roofing systems.

Responsibilities:

1. Roof Inspections:

 Conduct comprehensive roof inspections to identify potential issues such as

leaks, damaged shingles, and structural problems.

 Document inspection findings and provide detailed reports on the roof

condition.

 Assess the overall performance and lifespan of roofing materials.

2. Roof Repairs:

 Execute timely and effective repairs on various roofing systems, including flat

roofs, pitched roofs, and shingle roofs.

 Replace or repair damaged shingles, flashing, and other roofing components.

 Address leaks and water damage promptly to prevent further deterioration.

3. Material and Equipment Knowledge:

 Stay informed about the latest roofing materials, technologies, and repair

techniques.

 Utilize a variety of tools and equipment, including but not limited to, roofing

nailers, saws, drills, and safety gear.

4. Safety Compliance:

 Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols while working at heights.

 Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure the safety of yourself and

others on the job site.

5. Customer Interaction:

 Communicate effectively with customers to explain inspection findings and

proposed repair solutions.

 Provide accurate cost estimates for repairs and additional services.

6. Record Keeping:

 Maintain detailed records of inspections, repairs performed, and materials used.

 Provide documentation for warranty claims when necessary.

7. Emergency Response:

 Respond promptly to emergency roofing situations, such as storm damage or

sudden leaks.

8. Collaboration:

 Coordinate with other construction professionals, contractors, and team

members as needed.

 Work closely with project managers to ensure timely completion of assigned

tasks.

Qualifications:

 Proven experience as a Roofing Technician or similar role.

 In-depth knowledge of various roofing materials, installation methods, and repair

techniques.

 Ability to work at heights and navigate various types of roofs.

 Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.

 Excellent communication and customer service skills.

 Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual labor in varying weather conditions.

 Valid driver license.

Education and Certification:

 High school diploma or equivalent.

 Relevant certifications in roofing, such as roofing repair or installation training, are a

plus.
