Sales Representative — Wholesale Growth

Most sales jobs out there feel the same: make your calls, hit your quotas, push products you don’t even care about.

At Kororin, we do things differently. We make handcrafted onigiri — Japanese rice snacks — and we’re on a mission to bring real, nourishing, grab-and-go food to Chicago. We're already in 50+ stores, but we’re just getting started.

We’re looking for someone who loves connecting with people, is organized, and takes pride in doing great work. This isn’t a “call center” sales job. You’ll be out visiting stores, building relationships, making sure our products look amazing, and growing with a brand that actually cares about quality (and people).

We’re hiring a Sales Representative to drive wholesale growth by opening new accounts and building long-term partnerships. You'll focus on channels where Kororin thrives: universities, neighborhood grocers, convenience stores, supermarkets, athletic clubs, and beyond.

What You’ll Actually Do

● Open new wholesale accounts — universities, grocery stores, convenience stores, athletic clubs, and regional supermarket chains.

● Manage your sales pipeline — prospect, qualify, pitch, and close — you own it.

● Build relationships with key buyers, campus foodservice managers, and purchasing teams.

● Stay persistent with follow-ups and account nurturing until they say “yes.”

● Support onboarding of new accounts — product education, initial orders, launch coordination.

● Be the face of Kororin for our retail partners — visit stores, check displays, solve problems, and keep clients happy.

● Spot new opportunities to upsell and expand — new flavors, new placements, better visibility.

● Support product demos, tastings, and fun seasonal campaigns.

● Track account health with KPIs, share insights, and report back to the team (we love data but keep it simple).

● Collaborate closely with the Business Development Associate and other team members — including delivery drivers (for smooth handoffs), the account manager (for collections), and the kitchen manager (to coordinate sales volume and production needs).

● Help guide and support the Business Development Associate — offering direction, reviewing outreach progress, and helping them prioritize high-potential leads.
