School Social Worker: 2023-2024 School Year AnthroMed Education is a local organization in Illinois dedicated to the students we serve. One of our excellent school partners in Burbank, IL is seeking a K-5th grade School Social Worker to join our other Related Service Professionals within the district. This position is being created to provide additional support to the academic and social/emotional learning success of students. This is an excellent caseload with a low IEP caseload number and general education support. The Social Worker will have access to the district SEL Coach, a Crisis Team in every building, and professional development. Assist in developing positive behavioral intervention strategies

Provide crisis intervention strategies to improve student’s success

Advocate for the emotional, mental, and physical well-being of each student

Develop strategies to maximize coping skills for students in difficult situations

Collaborate with teachers and IEP team to understand student’s struggles and/or distress

Create a safe and welcoming environment for students to encourage social, emotional, and educational growth

Develop methods of tracking the effectiveness of behavior support plans through the analysis of behavioral data and makes changes to the plan as necessary

Participate in IEP meetings and maintain records of assessments and progress monitoring

Other duties as assigned

School Social Worker Requirements:

Master’s Degree in School Social Work (MSW) is required

Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker endorsement is required

Previous experience in a school setting is encouraged.

Ability to work both individually as well as in a team-based environment with parents, teachers, students, and administrators.
