THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE:

The Merchandise Operations Sr Business Analyst will manage the operation, maintenance, and support of defined business systems Blue Yonder (formerly JDA) Enterprise Planning & Allocation. This role will support the business through & responsible for document requirements, define scope and objectives and formulate systems to parallel overall business strategies. This role will be responsible for bridging the gap between IT and the business and partnering with peers & leaders using data analytics to assess processes, determine requirements and deliver data-driven recommendations and reports to executives and stakeholders.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Primary user support and administrator to business partners (internal and/or external) through business requirements, documentation, enhancements, and implementation to ensure system stability and data accuracy
  • Support Merchandising, MP&I, and Ecommerce use of the Merchandise system to ensure proper functionality, data and results.
  • Lead business requirement sessions and documentation
  • Construct workflow charts and diagrams; studying system capabilities; writing specifications
  • Manage 1-2 projects in any given time, reporting project status to leadership
  • Improve systems by studying current practices, designing modifications
  • Recommend controls by identifying problems, writing improved procedures
  • Define project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases, and elements; forming project team; establishing project budget
  • Monitor project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions
  • Validate resource requirements and develop cost estimate models
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reviews and analyses of current processes using operational metrics and reports
  • Gather and analyze data for potential business expansion
  • Identify specific business opportunities
  • Write use cases & facilitate UAT sessions
  • Excellent at writing business test cases

THE ESSENTIALS FOR SUCCESS:
  • Minimum of 5-8 years of direct work experience in business analysis, process improvement/best practices and system designs
  • Preferred ECBA/CCBA/CBAP certification
  • Knowledge of SDLC (Software development lifecycle)
  • Experience in Waterfall and Agile Methodologies
  • Education: BA/BS or equivalent work experience
  • Thorough knowledge of Merchandise business systems architecture for applicable system.
  • Experience with Merchandising, Ecommerce, Omni-Channel and Supply Chain system and processes
  • Knowledge and practice of programming, documentation, and interface requirements
  • Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines while using analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

SPECIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS
  • Experience with Blue Yonder (formally JDA) Enterprise Planning & Allocation solutions
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in collaboration and strong sense of accountability
  • Capability to work cross functionally with IT to assist in the translation of technical concepts into non-technical terms
  • Demonstrated ability to take complex thoughts or ideas and simplify them for business or technical partners
  • Retail business background with strong process and systems acumen
  • Possesses the expert knowledge to identify opportunities for change and the ability to convey the need for change.
  • Applied knowledge of applications development methodologies
