Join us.Description:This role will provide Business Resource Support to the Wheel-Tractor Scraper (WTS) product group within the Resource Industries Segment. This includes providing support for forecasting, actual analysis and business support for various complex business problems. The WTS product group is a dynamic group focused on growing the business profitably.Caterpillar Finance Services Division is looking for a Senior Staff Accountant II. As a Senior Staff Accountant II, your primary responsibility will be to be the finance leader for the Wheel-Tractor Scraper team and provide support for finance and strategy related needs. To independently perform complex accounting functions which support unit or corporate decision making on highly complex or broad business issues. In this role you will work closely with accountants around the globe to complete forecasts and other analysis.Job duties include but are not limited to the following:· Provide expertise on complex business, financial and managerial issues within WTS· Analyze and understand impact and have a broader perspective on specific accounting issues while working with various disciplines within Caterpillar. This requires a comprehensive understanding of Caterpillar’s business accounting issues and full support of the product group leadership team.· Resolve issues independently· Lead and/or direct teams within or outside of discipline· Communicate effectively· Forecast and analyze the WTS business resultsBasic Requirements:· Bachelor's level degree in Accounting; Non-Accounting degree requires 18 hours of core accounting courses or approved certification (CPA/CMA)· Experience in legal entity accounting· Experience in using cash flows for decision making· 6 - 8 years of accounting experienceTop Candidate Will Also Have:· Professional Certification (Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or equivalent)· Proven ability to manage large, complex accounting calculations· Proven record of strong initiative, accountability, and effective communication skills· A strong attention to detail· Knowledge of the Caterpillar organization, its products, policies and proceduresAdditional Details:· Location: Decatur, IL preferred, Peoria, IL considered· Domestic relocation is available for those who qualify· 10-15% travel is expectedEmployee benefit details:Our goal at Caterpillar is for you to have a rewarding career.
