Job Description

This position diagnoses and repairs power tools and related products to meet safety regulations and performance specifications.

Repair: Diagnose, repair, reassemble, test, and inspect tools to meet quality, performance and safety specifications. Meet productivity and repair time standards. Repair tools in order as prioritized by the company. May check quality of repair work completed by new associates.

Safety: Use testing equipment to evaluate failures and make warranty determinations. Observe safety guidelines for technicians. Keep workbench and surrounding area free of clutter and obstacles. Make suggestions when unsafe tools need to be replaced in the facility.

Communication: Provide feedback to Supervisor and/or Lead Technician. May call customers with pricing issues, repair and order status and other repair issues. May provide technical assistance to others as needed.

Continuously Develop product and technical knowledge: Participate in company sponsored training programs that promote product and technical knowledge.

Miscellaneous Duties As Assigned (i.e. shipping, receiving, picking, new hire training) Participates in cleaning and maintenance of building and equipment.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 3-5 years experience with technical, general mechanics or repair of equipment/small motors, orAssociate's degree, or technical school degree, preferred.
  • Basic ability to read product documentation and diagrams ,and basic knowledge of electricity
  • Basic PC and Business systems skills (SAP experience preferred)
  • Basic Communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Experience using/repairing 3d printers, networking, digital savvy a plus
