Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate School Social Worker to provide interim coverage for a staff member who is on leave under FMLA from February to May 24th In this role, you will work closely with K-8th grade students, families, and the school community to address social, emotional, and behavioral concerns. Your primary responsibilities will include individual counseling, group counseling, crisis intervention, and collaboration with teachers, parents, and outside agencies to support the well-being of students. Responsibilities:

Provide targeted support to identified students in the elementary setting.

Implement crisis intervention strategies to ensure student well-being and success.

Advocate for students’ holistic welfare (social, emotional, academic).

Cross-functional collaboration with teachers and families to understand how to best meet student needs.

Provide push-in and pull-out services as needed

Facilitate IEP meetings

Develop and track interventions in order to understand IEP effectiveness.

Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Master’s (MSW) or Doctoral degree in Social Work

License eligible in the State of Illinois

Previous experience in a PreK-5 setting preferred
