This position will be based at our Corporate office in Buffalo Grove, IL.This is a 12-week internship with the opportunity to work part-time after the internship ends. Start date preference would be May 20, 2024 or June 3, 2024.What you will do as a Siemens Smart Infrastructure Quality Engineering Intern:

Perform assigned tasks between our Corporate office and Zone/Branch Management

Schedule meetings to coincide with data collection timeline requirements, including sending reminder emails and meeting invites with stakeholders if timelines are not met

Point of contact regarding specific data collection processes

Track data and omissions of provided data based on schedule

Document management of information provided by the Branches and Zones

Quickly become proficient with proprietary project tracking software

Digitally record management and refinement

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Associate degree or 1-2 years of Vocational Technical Training or current sophomore or junior undergraduates pursuing a BA/BS from an accredited college or university, preferably majoring in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial/System Engineering, Industrial Distribution, HVAC, or Business Management/Marketing/Sales with strong technical or engineering aptitude

Availability: 40 hours per week from May/June to July/August 2024

Prior internship or co-op experience (preferred but not necessary)

Computer efficiency required with Microsoft Suite

Ability to work in cloud-based platforms and to adapt to shifting demands and competing priorities from internal partners to meet deadlines

Demonstrated leadership potential

Strong analytical, writing, presentation, and critical-thinking skills

Ability to work in a fast paced environment within our Corporate office while maintaining attention to detail is critical

Industry knowledge and/or interest

Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.

You’ll benefit from:The hourly pay range for this position is $22 - $26 per hour, based off of your projected graduation year. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
