SQL Server Architect -Remote for our client

Position Details:

SQL Server Architect -Remote-Rockford IL

Duration: 5 Months

Location: Mostly Remote (Minimal travel to Rockford, IL)

Must have
  • Extensive knowledge of SQL Server and SQL server tools
  • Deep experience in database performance and health monitoring and maintenance using built in tools and/ or third party tools.
  • Demonstrable experience in SQL Server design, topology, capacity planning and high availability
  • In-depth understanding of database setup, security, and backup/ recovery
  • Familiarity with relational database design and development
  • Working experience in SQL server tuning and performance optimization by recommending and implementing changes in infrastructure design, database and table design, query/ sp tuning, etc.
  • Experience with SSAS, SSIS, and SSRS

Nice to have:
  • Knowledge of PowerShell
  • Experience with PostgresSQL, DynamoDB
  • Experience in Kafka CDC

Deliverables-Process Flows-Mentor and Knowledge transfer to client project team members-Participate as primary, co and/or contributing author on any and all project deliverables associated with their assigned areas of responsibility-Participate in data conversion and data maintenance-Provide best practice and industry specific solutions-Advise on and provide alternative (out of the box) solutions-Provide thought leadership as well as hands on technical configuration/development as needed.-Participate as a team member of the functional team-Perform other duties as assigned.
