Career Area:Information TechnologyJob Description:This position’s primary customers will be Electrification and Advanced Power Solutions business partners focusing on development and delivery of services and solutions to support Caterpillar commitment to a reduced-carbon future and helping customers achieve their climate-related goals. The incumbent will collaborate with business partners and enterprise teams in end-to-end Business Process and Functional requirements management for major Electrification IT programs.This role acts as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor for customers going through New Product Introduction utilizing ERP product & cloud platform to realize the IT systems. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Trusted liaison between business & enterprise IT throughout the life of the new product introduction & ERP implementation, deployment, and transition to support. Be responsible to define & ensure successful completion of business processes & functional specifications for the identified system solution, and project requests, on-time and within budget by collaborating with global business partner representatives. Be accountable to collaborate with Software Architects and Project Managers to develop the project estimate and staff plan to realize the project goals. Develop Business Processes and Functional Specifications for multiple projects simultaneously. Lead the IT development staff during kick-off, planning, execution & closure phases to provide business processes and functional specification clarity. Establish and develop test strategy, plans and cases for the solution releases and deployment initiatives. Perform stakeholder management and provide ongoing functional specification updates with Project Managers, and other team members. Resolve issues and eliminate roadblocks to realize IT solutions to ensure no delay in project implementation. Ensure alignment with overall program objectives, timelines, and deliverables. Collaborate effectively with global teams. Develop, implement, and participate in change control activities. Promote overall team effectiveness, collaboration, and quality. Develop and deliver power user training sessions. Provide stabilization post go-live and knowledge transition to support team(s).Beyond these responsibilities, the incumbent will also understand and apply deployment strategies for ERP transformations. This will also include providing inputs for continuous improvement plans of deployment efficiency. In doing so, the incumbent will seek to identify lessons learned from current & previous deployments and apply them to tools & methodology.This positional requires frequent travels, both domestic and international.Basic Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in computer science (IT), or a related discipline is required.

Minimum of 10 years of progressively complex IT system design and development experience.

Minimum 5 years of broad experience in functional & software analysis in enterprise IT systems focused on ERP business functions, configurations, and deployment.

Collaborative skills working with Business Partners and Solution Architects to create the functional specification, test cases, test data and provide clarity to IT analysts.

Knowledge of using various databases such as DB2, Oracle and Snowflake.

Ability to work effectively with multiple global Business, IT and vendor partners and other management personnel, both in-person and virtual setup.

Knowledge & experience in effort estimation for complex business processes & functional specifications
