We are looking for a passionate, high-energy individual to help build the network that powers the world’s largest online services.The Infrastructure Planning and Acquisition Center of Excellence team (IPA CoE) is responsible for enabling and optimizing the foundation that supports infrastructure delivery for Land, Energy, Networking, Datacenter Planning and Cost Management through efficient processes, data driven decision making, innovation, and automated and integrated tool sets.As a Senior Capabilities Delivery Manager, you will drive technology programs from ideation and strategy formulation, through requirements and execution to build the next generation of core services for our organization. In this role you will be the liaison between the Cloud Infrastructure Planning and Acquisition Capacity Planning (inclusive of New Region Development and Regional Master Design) and our internal engineering teams to foster quality and scalable technology solutions with the right level of flexibility, while simultaneously ensuring successful development and implementation with a customer focused, innovative, and collaborative team culture. Translate ideas into reality by writing high quality requirements and specifications that cover end-to-end customer scenarios, and drive for results throughout the entire product development cycle.In alignment with our Microsoft values, we are committed to cultivating an inclusive work environment for all employees to positively impact our culture every day.ResponsibilitiesWork closely with engineers, partners, and stakeholders to understand, document and prioritize requirements and ensure alignment on scenarios.

Listen and learn directly from customers and through customer data to ensure we’re making correct decisions each step of the way.

Design how process and systems will work together to achieve the business objective.

Removing process ambiguity and driving to clear solutions that are delivered with high quality.

Managing schedules, risks, and issues and communicating them effectively to the team, management, and partners.

Champion engineering and operational excellence, establishing metrics and processes for regular assessment and improvement.

QualificationsBasic Qualifications:BA/BS Degree in Computer Science, Supply Chain, Engineering or related technical discipline, or 5+years of related professional experience in liu of that.

7+ years of experience in Program Management or Product Management: defining, driving, and shipping software products or services utilizing both waterfall and agile methodologies.

Basic understanding in the fundamentals of Supply Chain Planning such as Master Production Schedule, Demand Supply Netting, Constraint Planning, MRP, Supply Planning etc.

Ability and 3+ years of experience in documenting the business requirement for engineers to understand and build their functional specifications.

Track record of effectively collaborating across feature teams and disciplines as a leader.

Proven ability to define customer-focused scenarios, author detailed functional specifications, and demonstrated ability to lead virtual teams to ensure that scenarios are delivered end-to-end at product milestones.

Communication – clear and concise communication skills, both written and verbal at various levels, including Executives.

Preferred Qualifications:Strong business acumen.

Detailed oriented and thorough.

Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite, OneNote, SharePoint, Power BI.

Ability to navigate in an ambiguous environment

Planning and time management skills, the ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects with aggressive timelines and be able to prioritize work accordingly

Proven success working in a complex environment and across a diverse set of business, engineering, and operational stakeholders.

Track record of problem-solving and achieving results through digital transformation.

Agile in focus and communications - shifting from strategic to tactical depending on the needs of the day and the audience.

Embrace continuous improvement and new ways of doing things.

Six Sigma Green Belt certification from an internal entity or a globally recognized third-party. Experience in DMAIC and LEAN methodologies.
