- Contribute to Client's Revenue Management tool for hoteliers and vacation rental owners. Specific relevant technologies include:
- Backend: Java 8+, Spring Framework, RxJava, Spock, Mockito, Junit, MongoDB, Redis, Hystrix
- Frontend: React, Redux, Typescript
- Data Pipeline: Scala, Spark, Hive, AWS S3
- We are looking for a full-stack developer with an emphasis on backend experience.
- The ideal candidate will have experience in all listed areas, but we will interview candidates with adjacent experience or conversational knowledge with a proven track record of learning new technologies.
- The team consists of about 8 engineers. We follow an agile practice including daily standup, semiweekly envisioning/grooming meetings, biweekly retros, and weekly team meetings. class="xBCX0 xSCXW233047186" class="xBCX0 xSCXW233047186"
- Design, develop, debug, and modifies components of software applications and tools.
- Drive technical direction at the application/product level for small to mid-sized projects.
- Design, spec, schedule and provide quality implementation of a component or feature (typically 1-3 months in duration).
- Provide alternative solutions to a given problem.
- Resolve problems and roadblocks, with management assistance if required.
- Follow through on details and drive issues to closure.
- Complete documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.
- Actively participate in group technology reviews to critique work of self and others.
- Work collaboratively with all members of technical staff.
- Collaborate with program management and testing peers in the development of assigned components.
- Participates in and provides input to requirements definition.
- Usually provides solid judgment calls and tradeoff analysis.
