Coordinate strategic projects, focusing on distribution facility, network, & warehouse management system upgrades, new capability deployment including sophisticated automation, operational excellence, standardized process improvement, and profit acceleration aligned to company goals.
Facilitate a robust governance structure, working across different business functions and leaders, to prioritize and lead critical operations initiatives, in alignment with overall business objectives.
Design and stand-up standardized process for new distribution capability introduction (plastic pallets, returnable totes, kitting, etc.)
Collaborate with diverse teams to identify and implement key operations objectives, developing action plans for successful strategy implementation using Thermo Fisher's PPI Business System Strategy Deployment methodology.
Ensure flawless execution of strategic projects by managing timelines, resources, and budgets
Foster a culture of inclusion and collaboration, promoting a diverse and innovative work environment
Build and maintain strong relationships with cross functional teams at all organization levels to promote alignment and active participation.
Provide leadership & guidance to direct report Project Managers as well as cross-functional project teams, resolving issues through effective communication and maximizing expertise to meet business needs.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations or a related field. Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent preferred.
Minimum of 8 years’ experience in Operations or Distribution, specific experience in program management, prioritization, planning, and execution in a highly sophisticated distribution environment required.
Exceptional learning agility to evaluate, assess, and deploy new strategic capabilities that improve distribution material & information flow while increasing customer performance.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to positively influence and inspire teams from various backgrounds.
Passionate about driving growth and achieving excellence, with a strong focus on work outcomes and continuous improvement.
Strong understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, or Practical Process Improvement methodologies.
Knowledge and experience working in highly regulated environments (GMP/GDP, ISO, VAWD, FDA, DOT, etc.).
Ability to travel domestically as needed to support assigned projects (10 to 50%)
