Responsible for organizational design and implementation of a Occupational Health Services model to service the needs of all CSL Americas employees, including:

  • Provide day-to-day oversight for the US onsite medical providers by working in close collaboration ensuring compliance with medical surveillance programs including knowledge of relevant regulations and requirements

  • Seek and act on feedback from external sources to advance and align the business accordingly.

  • Act as subject matter expert to provide guidance and direction.

  • Build organizational programs that unify and align, across the organization enabling global efficiencies and improving overall performance.

  • Provide operational support to manage the Worker’s Compensation program for all US CSL Behring Employees. Provide instruction to the onsite nurses in basic management of the claims.

  • Collaborate with EHS and on-site occupational health staff & Human Resource Business Partners across all business organizations to control lost days from work and encourage early return to work

  • Support US Wellbeing Committee with regard to various well-being initiatives.

  • Provide support to Global Occupational Health Lead in development of technical standards and global programs and development and implementation of electronic medical record system.

  • Case Management (Management of all aspects of the Workers Compensation Program, Sick Leave, Long Term Disability Accommodation Program, Light Duty Return to Work, ADA, FMLA,),

  • Direct and Indirect management of occupational and non-occupational illness/injury, Health Surveillance testing and medical evaluations, management of cross-functional safety efforts, OSHA CFR

  • Develop and manage Occupational Health network in the Americas regions. Designing a fit for purpose Occupational Health model, that meets the needs of all of CSL America’s office, lab and manufacturing locations.

  • This includes management of internal and external resources to meet business needs.

  • Pandemic preparedness and response

  • Maintenance of Occupational Health budget

  • Responsible for developing and evaluating medical protocols for all Pre-placement and Emergency Response Team Physicals.

  • Provide leadership to onsite medical providers to effectively manage work-related injuries.

  • Provide strategic direction for the occupational health and medical surveillance programs, Removing obstacles and helping the teams access opportunities to advance the business

  • Strategize, develop, and partner with global/corporate OH Lead to promote employee wellbeing after returning to work from a work-related injury and promote injury prevention.

Education

  • Requires a Bachelor of Science Degree (health, nursing, or biologic Science). Current licensure as Registered Professional Nurse or advanced medical licensing

Experience

  • Required minimum 7 years of Occupational Health nursing experience, with a concentration in worker’s compensation case management and experience leading others.

  • Knowledge and certification preferred in, Audiometric Testing, and NIOSH Spirometry.

  • At minimum 7 years of Occupational Health Nurse experience or relevant experience serving as a case manager or working autonomously as an OHN.

Competencies

  • Must be computer literate, strong interpersonal, communication and organizational

  • skills.

  • Working knowledge of US Worker’s compensation regulations and relevant US ADA regulations.

  • Registered Nurse, BSN.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and adept at MS tools, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.

  • Familiarity with US GMP pharmaceutical research, development, and production facility practices.

  • Ability to direct, coach, mentor, and supervise others, guiding the completion of their assignments and motivating performance.

  • Requires leading without direct authority, influencing skills, and robust follow-through to achieve results.
