The Senior Data & Analytics Analyst will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of data models and reporting solutions that meet business reporting and analytical objectives for Supply Chain. In addition, he/she will also be responsible for helping to establish efficient processes to maintain data models, ensure data accuracy and stability. This individual will serve as a liaison between IT and business to actualize data requests and functional delivery of business reporting needs. The candidate will own reporting projects from end to end (gathering business requirement to deployment and fixes) and manage ad-hoc requests. This person must be able prioritize task and proactively communicate priorities.

CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop data models to support reporting and analytical needs
  • Develop the processes to maintain the data in an accurate and stable environment
  • Create reports and dashboards to measure and inform business partners on KPI's and metrics
  • Scope out and build Tableau enhancements with business functional areas
  • Provide subject matter expertise to business partners working with third parties to build applications.
  • Partner with business teams to gather, document and maintain business requirements that will inform data modeling decisions
  • Partner with IT on data requirements needed to support the build of data models
  • Lead reporting efforts to support issue resolution
  • Continuously look for improvements in data accuracy/validation for reporting

THE ESSENTIALS FOR SUCCESS:
  • Minimum of five years direct work experience in systems administration, process improvement/best practices or 3 years of experience with an advance degree.
  • BA/BS or equivalent
  • Experience building data models, reports and dashboards
  • Advanced SQL experience
  • Knowledge of data visualizations tools i.e. Tableau, PowerBI, Design Studio, or other front end visualization tools.
  • Knowledge of SAP Hana application
  • Knowledge of GCP BigQuery
  • Working knowledge of SQL Server, SSRS, SSIS suite of tools.
  • Must be comfortable learning new software.
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines while using analytical and problem solving capabilities.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment

PREFERRED OR SPECIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS
  • Capability to translate technical concepts into non-technical terms
  • Strong Process and system acumen
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain Sales & Operational Planning, DC Operations and Transportation in a retail environment.
  • R or Python experience
  • Data Warehouse Development experience

WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Travel - Minimal 5%
  • Ability to work long hours and weekends during critical periods.
